Alan Grayson: An Unlikely Patriot

It is surprising to find a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus attacking the printing press that enables big government and the welfare state, but that is exactly what Alan Grayson did at last Friday's hearing on HR 1207. Representative Grayson pressed Federal Reserve General Counsel Scott Alvarez relentlessly on the Fed's alleged independence, while Alvarez feigned ignorance in attempt to run out the clock.
